IIC/I2C Interface for 1602 LCD Module for Arduino Projects Take control of your 1602 LCD

The 1602 (16 x 2) LCD module, such as our TA0170/TA020 require 7 IO pins to be driven from Arduino. This interface when connected to the 1602 module only requires 2 IO pins, freeing up pins to be used with other modules.
