Johnnie Walker Blue Label King George V Scotch Whisky 700ml

Johnnie Walker Blue Label King George V Scotch Whisky

Johnnie Walker is arguably the most popular and recognisable blended Scotch on the market. Its core range includes the standard Red Label and Black Label, introduced in 1909 and named, quite simply, after their packaging. The iconic striding man motif was first drawn by Tom Browne the year prior. The premium Blue Label brand was introduced in 1992 and is composed using malt whisky from some of the most sought-after distilleries in Diageo's extensive portfolio.

Johnnie Walker King George V has been created to celebrate the monarch who granted John Walker and Sons Ltd their first Royal Warrant in 1934. Their makers hand-selected whiskies from distilleries that existed during his reign. This includes some of the rarest in their reserves, including irreplaceable casks from the now-closed Port Ellen distillery.

Nose: Sweet, smoky aromas from Port Ellen greet you. Its followed by notes of orange, raisins, figs and cinnamon.

Taste: Abundant spice and dried fruits from Speyside and Highland whiskies are perfectly balanced with vanilla. They release layers of sweet fruits, dark chocolate, toffee and roast nuts.

Finish: Port Ellen gives a coastal smokiness that gathers momentum through the long finish.
