Lagavulin
Lagavulin 18 Year Old Jazz Festival 2011 First Edition Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky 700ml

The Very First Jazz Bottle
Only 576 Bottles Produced

The very first Jazz bottle was this 1993 vintage, bottled in 2011 and a release that contained only 576 bottles. Matured for its 18 years in bodega sherry casks, this 55.4% single malt is considered by many Lagavulin fans to be one of the finest it has ever released. Stuffed with flavour and personality, it is a superb example of what Lagavulin does best: thick and rich single malts stuffed with sherry and fruit sweetness.

On the nose you will discover the cask strength first, suggesting a drop of water will open this whisky beautifully. Then you’ll find the fruit and typical peat signature. The taste is sublime with a wonderful combination of dark fruits, peat and sherry. The finish is long and luscious with lots more peat, sherry and caramel jostling for attention.
