Collection of five classic comedies starring Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy. In 'Block-Heads' (1938) Stan and Ollie find themselves in the trenches of World War I. Whilst Ollie is launched into battle, Stan diligently mans his post, where he remains for the next 20 years. Finally brought back to America, Ollie plans a reunion dinner for his long-lost pal, but Mrs Hardy is not too keen on the idea. In 'Our Relations' (1930) Stan and Ollies' long-lost twin brothers Alf and Bert return from sea. The rogueish sailors take two girls to a restaurant, leaving a pearl ring as security for the bill. Stan and Ollie are mistaken for their brothers, causing their wives to ask what they're doing with other women. In 'Pardon Us' (1931) Stan and Ollie are arrested and sent to prison for selling home-brewed beer during the Prohibition. In 'Sons of the Desert' (1933) Stan and Ollie are planning to travel to a fraternity convention in Chicago. As their wives have no interest in attending, Ollie feigns a disease which can only be cured by a long sea voyage. However, the ship on which they are supposed to be travelling to Honolulu sinks at sea - so while Stan and Ollie are partying in Chicago, their spouses think they are dead... Finally, in 'Way Out West' (1937) Stan and Ollie find themselves in another fine mess when they bungle the delivery of a gold mine deed to Mary Roberts (Rosina Lawrence). Duped by a saloon owner into giving the deed away, the duo set about restoring it to its rightful owner.
