Sword Leaf lettuce, or Pointed Leaf or Oriental lettuce, is highly sought after in Taiwan, where it is referred to simply as "a Choy". Featuring bright green leaves with a sharp point at the end and young, crunchy stems that are best when harvested 25cm tall - this delicious vegetable can be enjoyed in salads, soups and stir-fries. It is no wonder why Sword Leaf lettuce has become so popularly featured in Cantonese cuisine! This nutritious plant is an ideal choice for home gardening.

Sow in spring & autumn at 3mm deep, 20-25cm apart. Germination in 7-14 days at 10-22oC. Maturity in 50-60 days. Seeds need light to germinate, so do not plant too deep. Keep soil moist. Fertilise as needed.
