Visitors to Nashville's Grand Ole Opry can still hear the ninety years old Little Jimmy Dickens most Saturday nights?like most Saturday nights since 1949! These days, Little Jimmy doesn't record and doesn't tour?he only plays the Opry and makes a few local appearances, but when we catch up with him in the 1950s he was on top of his game, and one of the hottest performers in the business. He also had one of the very best bands in the history of country music, and gave an early break to stars like Buddy Emmons, Grady Martin, and Spider Wilson.
