This is a bottle of 16 Year Old Macallan from the Exceptional Single Cask series. Macallans Exceptional Cask series first appeared on the scene in 2017 and is exclusively comprised of single cask releases, bottled using what the distillery considers to be their finest stock.
This release was distilled on 4 March 2002, matured in European oak sherry hogshead #2340/04 and bottled on 3 May 2018.
One of only 283 bottles.

Nose: Caramel, Muscavado sugar, rich dried fruit, ginger, nutmeg, oak, chocolate orange, raisins, soft oak.

Taste: Dried fruit, rich fruits, wood spice, ginger.

Finish: Long, rich, intense, dried fruit, rich sherry flavours, bitter orange.
