We have sold many of these units with 100% satisfaction but of late some vehicles now run a sophisticated charging system that "in laymans terms" the alternator charges at such a low voltage that it "fools" a standard type of DC to DC charger into thinking the vehicle is stationary therefore not charging through to the Dc to Dc charger and therefore the auxiliary battery. This mainly applies to some vehicles after 2010.

This is the latest version of MATSON DC TO DC battery charger is a sophisticated multi stage charger, utilizing switch mode technology, designed to charge additional 12V DC Gel, Lead Acid and Calcium and now lithium batteries using vehicle 12V DC power supply.

This charger conquers the disadvantage of a traditional VSR system that can never fully charge the additional battery by raising the charging voltage to up to 15.3 which is the ideal charging voltage for calcium batteries. The low input voltage protection also prevents the input battery from being overdrawn. This MATSON charger is ideal for charging camper vans, boats... any batteries where 240V AC power supply access is not possible. This gives you the freedom of optimum charging while driving!

Now prefitted with 50amp Anderson style plugs for even easier installation.
