The first dedicated English-language guidebook to Mons, European Capital of Culture 2015. Mons is a town itching to be discovered. About Antony MasonAntony Mason has been writing about Belgium for some 20 years - a happy outcome of being married to a Belgian (a Walloon from Waterloo, as it happens).
He is the "Brussels Expert" for the Daily Telegraph series of online city break guides and writes occasional articles for the Daily Telegraph Saturday Travel section (e.g. on the WW1 centenary commemorations, and the wonders of Belgian frites (chips)). His most recent Belgium-oriented publication is his translation and adaptation of Le Gout des Belges by Eric Boschman, called A Slice of Belgium in the English edition (Lannoo Publishers, 2014), a humorous analysis of what the Belgians really eat.
