Fuku-musubi is a Furoshiki designed to invite happiness and form a connection between people. The front and back surfaces are dyed in different colours and patterns. Those patterns are based on Japanese auspicious omen motifs. One surface features Japanese Apricot, which is recognised as a symbol of happiness as it blooms earlier than other flowers. The other surface features a pattern of pine and bamboo which symbolise longevity as they survive through freezing winter.
