Pea Massey Gem is a prevalent variety for professional farmers or home gardeners. It is the most widely used commercial shelling pea variety for the fresh market in Australia.

These quick-maturing dwarf plants grow to 60-75 cm tall and produce large pods containing eight peas. M sey Gem peas taste sweet and are suitable for freezing. Th y are hardy, disease-resistant and suited to cold areas.

Sowing Instructions

Sow in late Summer to Autumn. It needs a minimum of 13-15oC to germinate. So k in water for a few hours; sow 20mm deep, 40cm apart. Em rge in 10-14 days. Gr w indoors during extreme weather and transplant when mature. Ha vest in approx. 70-80 days.
