A ferociously full bodied single malt whisky, packed with a big bite of untamed peatiness.

This edition of Peat’s Beast Cask strength has been finished in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks for extra richness. An extremely peaty whisky from an unnamed distillery, it’s got the rampant smoke you’d expect from a beastly named whisky, as well as a pleasant sherried character.

Tasting Notes:

Nose: Smoke, tar, caramel, notes of sherry.

Taste: Salty, smoky, pepper, notes of dates, figs, vanilla, sherry.

Finish: Long lasting, notes of chocolate, raisins, caramel. Due to the intensity it is recommended to add a small amount of water.

"Broad, juicy grape thumps into muscular peat, neither willing to compromise. Only a healthy strand of heather honey keeps everything together... If this whisky was comedy it would be pure slapstick." - Jim Murray, Whisky Bible 2021
