**The Story of USS Enterprise CVN-65:**The USS Enterprise is the first nuclear-powered aircraft carrier of the U.S. Navy and of the world. What nuclear power does is it allows a ship to go anywhere it needs to go without the need for constant refuelling. Less fuel means more space, and the enterprise could carry 72 aircraft and reach speeds of around 30 knots.

The construction began on 4 February 1958 and there were over 60,000 tons of steel went into the construction of the ship. She was commissioned on 25 November 1961 and this historic ship was deactivated on 1 December 2012. In service for 51 years, the Enterprise has participated in the Vietnam War, the Iraq War, the Afghan War, as well as the wars in the Gulf region.
