Verdejo is named after the green colour of the berries. It is the premier grape of the Rueda region in Spain. Verdejo is known for thriving in warm dry climates while still retaining fresh acidity. The grapes for this wine are grown in Eden Valley, the high country of the Barossa; a renowned region for growing high quality white wines. The Verdejo is sourced from a vineyard high in the Eden Valley planted on lean rocky soils. Clear straw in colour with aromas of lemon thyme, quince, pineapple and sourdough bread. The palate is crisp, with pithy grapefruit and Granny Smith apple flavours with hints of sea spray.
