From Figure A, measure the distance between the ground and where your gate will sit on the post that it will not hit the slope when it is fully swung out.

Use that distance together with the dimensions of your gate to choose the suitable Type for your situation from the table.

Note: Rising hinges are not designed to remain open. They either require a gate motor or catcher or chain to hold the gate open.
