About the Author
Liz Marek is the owner of Artisan Cake Company in Portland Oregon. She is well-known for her over the top sculpted cakes and figure work. She has a very popular youtube channel where she provides her fans with free tutorials as well as live classes and demos. Liz is a competition junkie and has entered and won over a dozen cake competitions including the That Takes the Cake Sugar Art Show and Cake competition in Austin, TX and Threadcakes three years in a row.
Liz also specializes in cakes that utilize special effects and moving parts. She has created edible works of art for many wonderful clients including Jay Leno, Tom Cruise and Ben Stiller. Liz has made many television appearances, including Food Network's Outrageous Wedding Cakes series in 2014.
