About the Author

Caroline Lawrence was born in England and brought up in the USA before returning to London where she now lives. Inheriting her father's love of words and her mother's love of art, Caroline studied Classics and then Classical Art and Archaeology at university. She draws on this background in her hugely popular children's fiction, which includes The Roman Mysteries, adapted for television by the BBC.
