The Sabor Co. Single Origin Idukki Cardamom 30g

Grown in the Cardamom Hills region in the Idukki district of Kerala, India, this green cardamom is one of the best grades of cardamom that you can treat your palate with.

Tasting notes comprise of strong eucalyptus-menthol-like flavour with a hint of citrus and pine.

Harvested in early 2022, the pods have been carefully grown and further processed by the Pious family, who are third-generation spice farmers.

The pods are green to pale green in colour and are mostly 8 mm in thickness. Each pod has close to 18 seeds which are black in colour, indicating that the pods have recently been harvested.

This is the Njallani varietal of green cardamom which was developed by a local farmer, Sebastian Joseph in the South of India using cross-pollination techniques.

The packaging comes complete with a traceability report providing you with information about the farmer, farm location, harvesting date, and farm inputs.
