Cultivated in the historical town of Pampore in the Pulwama district of Jammu & Kashmir, India at an elevation of 1600 MASL.

These saffron threads are of the highest grade known as Mongra, consisting of the long, deep red stigmas of the Crocus sativus flower.

Kashmiri saffron is considered to be one of the finest in the world and has been given the Geographical Indication or GI tag by the Indian government given the unique climate of Kashmir which results in high Crocin & Safranal content.
