Cassis and blackcurrant jam aromas greet you alongside leaf and vanilla with this classic Cabernet Malbec from the Watervale vineyard. It has all the developing leather notes you’d expect of a seven-year-old wine, but there is so much primary fruit still; it’s ripe and round with a smooth, plush palate and has a sanguine, meaty edge, finishing with dusty tannins.

This wine pairs well with a hearty dinner of roast beef with all the trimmings, also a great wine for rustic barbecue favourites, ribs, chops doused in chimichurri sauce, southern BBQ specialities and for grilled veggies like eggplant and zucchini.
