In 1973 an unknown�Tonga Rugby Union�team visited Australia for a two Test series. The first Test went as expected to the Wallabies by 30 points to 12 in Sydney.

However in the�second Test�on the 30th June 1973 �the�?Ikale Tahi��as they are known�got their revenge when they defeated Australia in Ballymore,�Brisbane by�16 points to 11.They�scored four tries through Centre�Tali Kavapalu, Left Winger�Sami Latu, Right Winger�Isikeli Vave. The other try was scored by their inspirational�Captain�Sione Mafi Pahulu.�The powerfully built�Number 8 forward played his rugby in Australia with Brisbane Souths.
