Wales Rugby Shirt Polo Vintage Style - Red

Our Wales Rugby Shirt Polo Vintage Style is inspired by the great Wales Rugby Union players and teams of days gone by.

Wales were looking a really strong team going into the1971 Five Nations Championship. Beaten by Ireland in Dublin the previous year, they narrowly lost out to France (who they beat 11-6 in Cardiff) on points difference.

The team had talented players and featured a backline that not only featured in the great Wales team of 1971. But also the majority of Test places in the famous British & Irish Lions Test team that defeated the All Blacks in the 1971 series. The half backs were Gareth Edwards at Scrum Hall and Barry John at Fly Half. In the Centre was Arthur Lewis of Ebbw Vale alongside the great John Dawe. Ian Hall, the Aberavon player replaced Lewis in the Scotland game.
