Warramate Riesling (750 mL)

Aroma & Palate Chalky & perfumed, apricot and musk Varietal Riesling Style Light & subtle Our Notes Not a region/varietal combo you see a lot - fun, as Riesling is a pretty terroir-influenced grape. What we get here here is something dry, aromatic and gloriously light, with apricot, musk and wholemeal toast to the body and a squeeze of lime to the acidity.

Winemakers Comments This dry Riesling has a subtle varietal aroma of citrus, apple, musk and talc with an underlying complex note of flintiness. A wine of fruit purity, lovely weight and some textural interest.

Fruit was hand-picked from the Warramate 1.2 acre Riesling vineyard planted in 1970. Although not a common variety for the Yarra Valley, this plot of vines consistently delivers highly individual wines. Whole bunch pressing and maturation in stainless steel tank.

About the Winemaker Pedigree label Warramate is home to vines nearly 50 years old growing from prime real estate; throw in the stewardship of Sarah Crowe, a James Halliday Winemaker of The Year, and it's no wonder the punters and critics alike are fans.
