The Boss Hog VIII: LapuLapus Pacific is a sequel to the Worlds Best Rye from WhsitlePig. It was named in honour of the legendary Filipino warrior LapuLapu, a fierce defender of independence who led his island home against the Spaniards and defeated Captain Magellan.
This straight rye whiskey was matured in American oak, finished in Philippine single island small batch rum casks and bottled at barrel strength.

Nose: Rich lush vanilla aromas give way to delicate tropical notes including underripe bananas, freshly picked lemon and molasses.

Taste: Abundant fresh ground cinnamon with citrus zest, butterscotch, and light notes of toffee.

Finish: Tanned leather, light brown sugar, nutmeg and allspice with a long-lasting black pepper rye spice.
