Jimmy Russell, known by many as the master distillers master distiller at Wild Turkey distillery, a legend of bourbon. But the devotion and artistry for fine bourbon runs in the Russell family, and it was Jimmys son, Master Distiller Eddie Russell, who spread his wings, to create Russells Reserve as a tribute to his fathers legacy.
Russells Reserve 13 Year Old was first released in April 2021. There have been 5 bottlings over the course of the three years and all releases to date have been bottled at 114.8 Proof.
This is Batch no.5, released in May 2023 at barrel proof.

Nose: Sweet and woody with notes of dark dried fruit and chocolate, honey, caramel, nougat and brown sugar.

Taste: Sweet and warming with dried dark fruit notes complete with charred confectionary notes of charred marshmallow and burnt brown sugar.

Finish: Smoky campfire. Warming, long and lingering.
