A perfect home for this variety being situated at the later ripening, higher end of the vale. Sourced from 3 blocks of estate-grown Cabernet planted in 70s and 80s. Each block provides a unique character to the wine. Warm days give good berry colour and ripeness. Cool nights preserve natural acids, providing tannins and structure with elegance. Matured for 14 months in a blend of new and old American and French oak. Evolving flavours of juicy blackberries, rhubarb, eucalypt, toasty oak and mint.
